Some of the most transferable leadership and cultural insights do not come from classrooms or conferences.

They emerge from environments where complexity, creativity, and human experience intersect every day.

For more than a decade, Disney Parks have functioned as a living laboratory for us. Not as a brand to emulate, but as a real-world environment where systems, story, culture, and human behavior are constantly tested at scale.

A LIVING LABORATORY, NOT A CASE STUDY

Disney is not compelling to us because of how it does business.

It is compelling because it brings together people from dozens of cultures, backgrounds, and belief systems into a shared, high-pressure environment.

Every day, Disney Cast Members from around the world work side by side, navigating creativity and constraint, excellence and exhaustion, visibility and invisibility.

Global scale.
Deep cultural diversity.
High expectations.
Constant change.

This makes Disney a living laboratory, not for extracting tactics or copying practices, but for learning how meaning, trust, and belonging are formed across cultures.

Disney Learning Labs focus on:

● Recognizing patterns that transcend cultural paradigms
● Understanding how cultural DNA shapes thinking and behavior
● Seeing how trust is built long before belief is discussed
● Learning how authentic relationships become bridges strong enough for Jesus to cross
● Revealing the Kingdom in ways that feel human, respectful, and lasting within any culture

LEARNING THROUGH OBSERVATION AND REFLECTION

Disney Learning Labs are immersive learning experiences designed to help leaders see differently.

We observe environments. We ask better questions. We reflect together on what is happening beneath the surface and why it matters. The goal is not inspiration, but insight.

Not replication, but discernment.

Leaders leave Disney Learning Labs with sharper cultural awareness, stronger relational instincts, and clear language and frameworks they can apply within their own context to engage people who think, believe, and live differently.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR CHURCHES AND LEADERS

Many churches and organizations struggle not because they lack vision, but because they lack clarity about how vision becomes culture.

Disney Learning Labs help leaders:

● Recognize how systems shape behavior
● Understand the power of story and environment
● Discern what is transferable and what is contextual
● Reimagine leadership through the lens of experience and formation

For churches, this becomes a way to think more carefully about how people actually experience faith, belonging, and mission in real life.

NOT ABOUT DISNEY. ABOUT DISCERNMENT

Disney Learning Labs are not about adopting corporate models or importing business strategies into the Church.

They are about learning how to see.
How to notice what is forming people.
How to translate values into lived experience.

For leaders navigating complexity, change, or cultural fatigue, Disney Learning Labs create space to slow down, pay attention, and rediscover clarity.

Disney Learning Labs are not connected to, affiliated with, or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries. The Walt Disney Company does not endorse any particular faith, and we respect that. Our understanding of Disney Cast Members does not come from corporate training or business partnerships. It emerges from Cast Member Church, an independent, faith-centered community that is also not part of The Walt Disney Company. Our insights are shaped by more than a decade of lived experience walking alongside hundreds of Disney Cast Members across multiple parks, cultures, and countries, forming authentic relationships within one of the most diverse mission fields in the world.
